IO-Link memory modules have a built-in data storage memory, thereby fulfilling the function of a removable data carrier.

Many parameters can be logged and saved on the modules. Paramaters such as: the operating data of the tool through the histogram of the temperature level in operation, the required power level, the number of tool cycles, and the error messages in the tool.
In this way, operating data and supplemental information is always available during maintenance or repair in the factory.
